Meet Ari Janessian of Boston Automotive Consulting

Today we’d like to introduce you to Ari Janessian.

Ari, let’s start with your story. We’d love to hear how you got started and how the journey has been so far.
Upon graduating from Suffolk University, most of my classmates and I were facing a tough time finding careers in our studied fields. Like most, I needed to get out there and start paying down those student loans!

While applying for jobs, I was peeking into job openings for car sales at the local BMW dealerships, thinking to myself “what if?” What happened next?

Fast forward, and here I am, one of the “rookies”, the youngest kid there, at BMW in Boston, presenting one of my favorite cars to some of the most diverse clientele one could imagine! Ironically, My Bachelor’s Degree was in International Politics.

There’s a lot to love about selling a brand like BMW, but I found the satisfaction of helping others to be a bit more of a rush than the car I was selling.

While I loved what I did, my family needed my help with our own family restaurant business. However, as time went on, I found that my phone kept ringing, and friends, friends of friends, and others were constantly asking for my help.

It wasn’t until August of 2015 that I established Boston Automotive Consulting, and since then, everyday has been an exciting mixture of an amazing diverse clientele, as well as all different brand cars!

What more could I have asked for?

Great, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
In one word: No.

As many people have experienced at one point or another, the car sales industry is way outside of most people’s comfort zones.

The idea of BAC was to remove the struggle, and make our rocky road be another person’s smooth one.

The key is sustainability. Getting a great deal is hard. Getting it again and again requires us to constantly maintain and nurture our dealer network so that the car buying process can be smooth for our Bostonians.

Alright – so let’s talk business. Tell us about Boston Automotive Consulting – what should we know?
As the CEO of Boston Automotive Consulting, my job boils down to two things.

1. Making sure that our clients are choosing the best possible vehicle on the market that suits their needs.

2. Making sure they get the best possible pricing on the vehicle, without having to go through the traditional negotiating that no one really has time for anymore.

My specialty is really to make car buying fun and stress-free, and it differs from a traditional car buying service because we are not strictly focused on the numbers.

I’m proud to say that our business is setting the new trend in car buying, and in the future, similar to having a lawyer or realtor, you’ll have an Automotive Consultant guiding you through a commonly financially overlooked process.

Is there a characteristic or quality that you feel is essential to success?
Attention to the details that matter!

When it comes to cars, I absorb every detail about my client’s needs. I literally become the client during the process, and what I am after is exactly what they are after.

The beauty of the business that I am in is that I don’t work for a specific car brand, nor am I tied to a specific dealership.

I am successful because my clients are always in full control, and luckily, they’ve been the one’s growing our business by spreading the word.

I owe it to them!
