Today we’d like to introduce you to Harris Davey Jr.
Harris, can you briefly walk us through your story – how you started and how you got to where you are today.
I had gotten my first camera from a gift from my brother for my birthday in 2005. I had no idea what I really wanted to do with it yet. After a few months later after playing around with it, my two cousins that were well dressed decided that we should do like a photoshoot. We had done our shoot and from that, I realize I was pretty good at it and became interested in shooting fashion. Then on I wanted to do more and get better at it So I collab with local models and test with them, learned a lot worked with Agencies from Boston and NY and here I am today.
Has it been a smooth road?
I think there are Struggles along the way for everyone even for me. That’s what makes me keep going and do better. Struggles with Traveling, not getting the best work than I wanted, not working with the right people. but that will happen in life, its the matter of how not to give up and not let the challenges keep me down.

I’m a professional fashion photographer, I specialize in portrait, fashion and beauty. I’m mostly known for fashion photography and I’m proud of where I am today and how I ended up here. What sets me apart from others is that I care so much about what I do, I have so much passion in my work, and the humility that I have.
Is our city a good place to do what you do?
Honestly, I recommend them to start anywhere, as long they understand location. But Boston is a great city to start out with if you live there, there are so many beautiful locations there.
