Today we’d like to introduce you to Steve Nash.
Boston Web Marketing started in November 2009 by Steve Nash and Colin Haviland. With a background in sales and marketing it quickly became evident to them that Search Engine Optimization would soon be the most important aspect of marketing for businesses to grow.
After achieving success for their clients they started to grow into other areas of digital marketing to help improve their clients even more. This product evolution allowed them to start doing Google Ads (They are a premium partner of Google) with a team of Google Representatives that they e cooperate with on all of their Ad accounts, Website Design (Which is done all in-house), Social Media/Content generation, local listing sites, e-Mail marketing campaigns, and more.
By this time, they had grown to almost 40 full-time Co-workers located in the Boston Market serving clients world-wide. Today, they continue to be on the cutting edge of SEO as Google constantly changes its algorithms. They provide bi-weekly training’s to all of their co-workers and discuss emerging trends on a daily basis for each industry, providing the highest level of technical and professional service.
Has it been a smooth road?
Our business started in 2009, that time period has been named on Wikipedia as the “Great Recession”. This provided us the ability to start a business with a relatively low capital investment and stretch that money as far as it could possibly go.
The downside to this time period, was the cautiousness and pessimism many people had about the current economy. Every touch we had with a business, every plan we implemented, every employee or piece of technology that was purchased or hired had to be the right decision. The margin for error, and the opportunities afforded to us were few and far between.
What this provided us was invaluable. We have taken that same mentality of thoughtful growth, product iteration, client communication, and hiring the best possible team members into a much better, more vibrant economy. Those struggles, as often happens, and has forged us into the company we are today.
So, as you know, we’re impressed with Boston Web Marketing – tell our readers more, for example what you’re most proud of as a company and what sets you apart from others.
Search Engine Optimization, Social Media Optimization, Blogging, Content Generation, Google Ad’s (Search, Retargeting, YouTube, Shopping, etc.), Reputation Management, Website design, and more. We are primarily known as a Search Engine Optimization company that specializes in small-medium sized businesses. We work in a variety of industries including; Healthcare, Legal, Contractors, Retail, and Real-estate. We are not just limited to those particular industries though, and field clients in a variety of niche businesses.
As a company, I am most proud of our team-centric approach to running the company. We are constantly asking our co-workers what areas of improvement can be made, what additional products or services we should be offering, and how can we make this a better company. This has led to dramatic and constant positive changes to our business, brought on by the individuals most involved in the day to day operations.
This very same team approach is the item that sets us apart from other companies. We are large enough to work with any size company, but not so large that our co-workers voices aren’t heard. With collaboration between various departments, we strive to provide all of our past successes to every new and current client we manage.
Let’s touch on your thoughts about our city – what do you like the most and least?
Boston is a hub of economic and educational growth. We are currently residing in a city which is experiencing unprecedented levels of construction and a massive infusion of established, well branded companies. This has led to the positive and negative of a very competitive environment for businesses to attract top tier employees.
I love that Boston’s educational prowess has directly correlated to companies from around the world to consider this as a destination for their businesses. We are able to take candidates from a variety of backgrounds, anything from M.I.T. and Harvard, to our extremely well regarded state schools such as Umass Amherst and Salem State and turn them immediately into contributing members of our team.
The largest negative of Boston at this current iteration would have to be the traffic. A lot of this traffic is spurred on by the massive amounts of construction and growth the city is experiencing.
