Meet Manny Azoulay of Fix it Manny in Newton

Today we’d like to introduce you to Manny Azoulay.

Manny, can you briefly walk us through your story – how you started and how you got to where you are today.
Growing up in Israel there was a tremendous value placed on craftsmanship. Working beside my father at his glass shop, I learned how to use my hands to do great things. There I began working with wood to make window frames and also learned the importance of customer service.

Later, when I came to the United States I worked for a moving company – and I started to do repairs on furniture damaged in moving. I began learning about different woods and experimenting with different finishes. Slowly my name was passed from one moving company to another, and then to area restaurants and hotels. Individuals starting calling – explaining that they had family pieces and they needed someone to bring them back to life. And so this was the true beginning of Fix it Manny.

Has it been a smooth road?
The beginning is always hard until you have a solid reputation in the community. But I have been lucky to have a great following who always recommend me.

So, as you know, we’re impressed with Fix it Manny – tell our readers more, for example what you’re most proud of as a company and what sets you apart from others.
Our specialty is refinishing and upholstery. We do a whole host of other furniture repairs, but this is what we are best at. As a company we are very proud of our reviews – for both our work and customer service.
