Today we’d like to introduce you to Yuanling Liu.
Yuanling, please share your story with us. How did you get to where you are today?
As a child growing up, I have struggled with few chronic health issues like poor digestion with many foods intolerances, poor immune system, and fatigue… I was taken from doctor to doctors, and my life took on a journey of seeking ways to help the body to heal and to restore the health and vitality. Through learning and practicing ancient Chinese healing arts Qigong, meditation, acupuncture and Chinese herbal medicine, I have found my health and passion back in life. Now my job in life is to share what I know about how to use natural ways to bring balance back to the body and mind, and create a joyful and vibrant life.
We’re always bombarded by how great it is to pursue your passion, etc – but we’ve spoken with enough people to know that it’s not always easy. Overall, would you say things have been easy for you?
I took a long time seeking knowledge and gathering “tools”, until I became an acupuncturist and owning a business, I notice I love my job, and I love helping others who are suffering in pain.
We’d love to hear more about your business.
I am an acupuncturist, herbalist and dietitian. I provide acupuncture treatment, customized Chinese herbs and nutritional suggestions. I specializes in treating pain conditions, allergies (foods, environmental), digestive disorders, GYN/fertility, depression and anxiety, and weight management. What I most proud of is being able to use natural ways to help people in all different ages, and I specially enjoy treating infants, kids, and teens, they are the future of our society.
What were you like growing up?
Growing up as a sickly little girl, I have acquired very different interests than kids who were at my age. I always interested reading health related books, nutrition, and started to study Qigong (a form of Chinese ancient practice with physical excises and energy work) at age 15. I was drawn to meditation and spending time in natural when I was in college. Then I notice I was a very good listener, there were always people asking me for advice about health or varies issues in their life, and at very early on of my life, I knew I really enjoy helping people.
