Meet Roy Abiyounes of BCS CallProcessing in Rockland

Today we’d like to introduce you to Roy Abiyounes.

So, before we jump into specific questions about the business, why don’t you give us some details about you and your story.
I was born in Lebanon, my family has a business there that does very well. It was always assumed that I would one day take over that business, but I had always wanted something of my own. I wanted to build something from nothing, so I came here. I finished my Master’s degree in Engineering from North Eastern, and haven’t stopped since. It’s been hard work, but we started with five people in a tiny office space in the lower level of a business complex, watching people’s feet walk by outside from the only window down there, and now we have already outgrown our new office space with over 70 employees.

Great, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
Nothing worth having is easy to come by, right? Growing a company is stressful. We rely heavily on our Service teams, and finding the right talent to fill those spaces can be a trick. We ask a lot of each of our employees, they not only have to know their technical stuff front and back, but they need to make our clients feel like the most important people in the world. And they do! Technology is always evolving so we must provide ongoing training for our employees. You just can’t fall behind the curve in IT. You always have to be first.

Please tell us about BCS Call Processing.
No two organizations’ IT needs are identical. BCS will help you find the right combination of solutions by taking on some or all of your IT challenges. We can help in small ways, maybe by just coming in and doing a complimentary IT assessment to see how secure your company is. We will let you know of any areas of improvement and give our recommendation. Or, we can be your full time 24/7 Virtual CIO. Some of our clients have full-time onsite engineers dedicated to managing their everyday IT needs, and we have some clients that are totally comfortable with remote email and phone support. It all depends on you and your company’s needs. Knowing where our technologies can benefit our clients really makes a difference. We can come in and be anything you need.

What has been the proudest moment of your career so far?
I can think of many moments in my career that I am proud of, sure. I’m proud of the team we’ve been able to build, I’m proud to call that team family, and I’m proud of the work we get to do together. But, does anybody have time to relish in their pride? The last few minutes of my day are spent taking care of that last email before falling asleep. There’s really no time to look back and reflect, there’s only forward.
