Thanks for sharing your story with us Marty. So, let’s start at the beginning and we can move on from there.
Fit Werx 2 in Peabody was founded in 2006 based on the principles of Rider First Bike Fitting and Rider Matched Bike Sales.
Clients travel from around the World, as far away as China, to work with us in order to make sure their bike position is correct and that they purchase best fitting bicycle. We focus on Road, Triathlon, Gravel, MTB, Cyclocross and more.
We work with all levels of cyclists from beginners to Pros.
We’re always bombarded by how great it is to pursue your passion, etc – but we’ve spoken with enough people to know that it’s not always easy. Overall, would you say things have been easy for you?
Like any business there are always challenges, but we’re so focused on providing clients without outstanding services and products that we have a very loyal following. We’re also creating new relationships every day. While smaller businesses are competing with online sales, as are we, our focus remains on being the best at what we do: Bike Fitting, Bike Sales and Service.
So, as you know, we’re impressed with Fit Werx 2 – tell our readers more, for example what you’re most proud of as a company and what sets you apart from others.
As one of the owners of the shop, my primary focus is operations and clients services. Most of the time I’ll be the first person you see and hear when people come in or call. Fit Werx is known around the world for our Bike Fitting process as the best way to buy a new bike. If the position isn’t correct it won’t matter what bike you have. You won’t enjoy it as much and it won’t be as fun to ride. We make riding fun! In 2013 and 2015 Fit Werx was name the Best Bike Shop in America by The Active Times. That was really amazing because there are a lot of great shop across the country. What sets us apart really is our Rider First Bike Fitting and Rider Matched Bike Sales approach.
So, what’s next? Any big plans?
No one knows the future and the opportunities and challenges we face. What we will continue to do is listen to our client’s needs, focus on providing outstanding Bike Fittings and Bike Sales and keep our options open. Since technology is moving so quickly there may be products and services we offer, but only time will tell.
