Life and Work with Celecia Taylor

Today we’d like to introduce you to Celecia Taylor.

So, before we jump into specific questions about the business, why don’t you give us some details about you and your story.
As a child, I was fascinated with makeup and beauty products. I would borrow my moms and aunts and play around with them, putting anything I could on my friends and family. In high school, I was doing everyone’s makeup for dances and events. While in college, to make extra money, I would work seasonal jobs at the makeup counters, this is where my love began. It was a creative outlet for me and never felt like a job. After working for several makeup companies, I decided to further my education in the field and attended Catherine Hinds in Woburn, MA. After becoming a licensed esthetician, I decided to start my own business, so I could have the flexibility to work the hours that worked best for our family and I could stay home and raise our children. I love working with people and making them feel like their best self, it truly is the best feeling! Most of my clients are brides and to be able to share their big day with them is so special!

We’re always bombarded by how great it is to pursue your passion, etc. – but we’ve spoken with enough people to know that it’s not always easy. Overall, would you say things have been easy for you?
I remember working a full-time job in NH and attending night school (Esthetics) three nights a week in MA, it was draining. I would get out of work at 4;30 and sit in rush hour traffic on the way to Boston and then sit in class for 3 hours until 10 and drive home exhausted, not getting in the door until at least 11 pm. I did this for a full year! It was the best feeling when I graduated, I felt so accomplished.

My best advice is the sacrifices you make to achieve your goal is so worth it, nothing that means anything comes easy. You have to put the work in! It will be worth it one day – never give up!

So, as you know, we’re impressed with Celecia Taylor | New England Makeup Artist – tell our readers more, for example, what you’re most proud of as a company and what sets you apart from others.
I am a makeup artist based out of Nashua, NH but travel to all of New England! I specialize in Bridal, Film and Event Makeup. I am most proud of all of Best of the Knot winning’s, the reviews I receive from my brides mean so much to me!
