Komal, can you briefly walk us through your story – how you started and how you got to where you are today.
I first began blogging In San Diego 2 years ago. I have a huge passion for food so when I first started out my blog was purely dedicated to food. As I began to know more about the blogging world I expanded my brand into all the things lifestyle, which includes beauty, fashion, health and travel.
When I moved to Boston I decided to keep things more local and showcase what the city has to offer as far as food, fun, entertainment, whatever!
Overall, has it been relatively smooth? If not, what were some of the struggles along the way?
Blogging has not been a smooth road. It’s hard to get your name out there and have an interesting platform that people are excited to see and read every day.
Sweet & Masala – what should we know? What do you guys do best? What sets you apart from the competition?
Sweet & Masālā is a lifestyle blog dedicated to eats and lifestyle. I am most proud of how diverse the platform is. There is a little bit for everyone.
What is “success” or “successful” for you?
I define success by the responses I get from people who read. I love engaging with my readers and viewers and knowing that I helped hem make dinner for their boyfriend, or help them with a money-saving beauty tip, means the world.
