Meet Zach Cooper of ZSC Productions

Today we’d like to introduce you to Zach Cooper.

Zach, let’s start with your story. We’d love to hear how you got started and how the journey has been so far.
I grew up in a small town right outside Worcester called Charlton. I went to school in the neighboring town and even graduated from Worcester State. My interest in film and photography really peaked in high school appreciating color theory and why certain colors convey certain emotions in people. In college, I decided to make video production and broadcasting my career choice and pursued that path. I started picking up small time film gigs and meeting people that wanted visuals done for their brand.

After I graduated I decided I wanted more of everything, more work, more projects, more people to meet. So I packed my things and ended up moving to New York City to pursue my dreams of working with a media company and pick up freelance work on the side. I’ve been here for almost 2 years now and love it, but still travel back and forth between Worcester County and NYC for work and to visit friends and family!

We’re always bombarded by how great it is to pursue your passion, etc – but we’ve spoken with enough people to know that it’s not always easy. Overall, would you say things have been easy for you?
It has not been a smooth road at all. The last two years have definitely had its challenges but I continued to work extremely hard and push through whatever was thrown at me and I believe things are finally taking a turn for the better.

So let’s switch gears a bit and go into the ZSC Productions story. Tell us more about the business.
ZSC Productions is a video production/photography business that specializes in all different types of work. I typically work on Model Reels, Music Videos, Live Music, Weddings, Short Films, Artistic Pieces, and Event Coverage. I like to take on different projects and work with tons of creative minds. I honestly think what sets me apart from others is my creative eye and my passion for what I do.

Has luck played a meaningful role in your life and business?
Bad luck has allowed me to work even harder towards my goals. I definitely catch a break with some good luck every now and then but it feels like that’s a rare occasion.
