Today we’d like to introduce you to William Garside.
William has been performing in wedding bands as a trumpet and bassist since he was 15 years old, and eventually started his own group, Night Shift. After a number of years, grueling weekend schedules, and high demand for his band, he started forming other bands on the backbone of Night Shift, and thus, Night Shift Entertainment was born.
As the business grew, they moved from suburban Concord to Boston to be involved in the circle of their clients, vendors, and other elite industry leaders. Involvement in the community has helped them grow.
Has it been a smooth road?
I can honestly say that it’s been a smooth road because of the groundwork we did from the very start. Our focus has always been on client services. It takes more than a great band to become an industry leader and innovator.
Through time, we’ve streamlined the process of vetting musicians for our bands. We view a band much like a sports team. We value chemistry, compromise, and respect for others, in addition to talent, to help maintain a healthy environment.
So, as you know, we’re impressed with Night Shift Entertainment – tell our readers more, for example what you’re most proud of as a company and what sets you apart from others.
Night Shift Entertainment is a music entertainment company specializing in exclusive weddings, corporate, and social events from Boston to New York, as well as destination events around the world. Merging talent and innovation, we provide our clients with extraordinary live entertainment for the most distinctive weddings and corporate events.
We are most proud of modernizing the wedding band image in conservative Boston. Although we’re selling music, we are rooted in strong business ethics and techniques. Our reputation amongst our musicians and clientele is unsurpassed.
I truly believe we’re unique because we demand the highest level of musicianship. In fact, many of our vocalists have been featured on The Voice and American Idol. We employ the Season 2 winner of The Voice.
Let’s touch on your thoughts about our city – what do you like the most and least?
Boston is such a wonderful place! It’s a well-versed balance of the best of food, hotels, education, music, and so much more.
I love the European feel of the South End where I live and work. It’s great to see the vibrant pulse of the city with recent modern mid-rises, restaurants, and hotels.
It’s hard to give a downside to Boston, but for the sake of it, I’m going to say that parking during the snowy months can be a nightmare. Too many signs.
