Meet Wendy Stone of The Pilates Firm

Today we’d like to introduce you to Wendy Stone.

Wendy, can you briefly walk us through your story – how you started and how you got to where you are today.
I taught aerobics from 16-26.

I had a personal training business from 21-28.

I was a physical therapist assistant from 26-28.

I opened my Pilates studio in January 2000. I’m currently in my 4th studio.

Has it been a smooth road?
Pretty smooth. It’s been hard work and personal sacrifice, but all worth it.

So, as you know, we’re impressed with The Pilates Firm – tell our readers more, for example what you’re most proud of as a company and what sets you apart from others.
The Pilates Firm offers small group classes and private training. We specialize in identifying the weakness and strengthening in a functional way. This means that the training will translate into daily life activities and sport specific needs. I have been in business for 18 years. I am very proud of the client loyalty base my business has. I am hands on with every client that walks through the door. My background in exercise physiology and physical therapy gives me a solid educational foundation to interpret the needs of the client and to suggest modifications for special needs or limitations.

Let’s touch on your thoughts about our city – what do you like the most and least?
I love the fall spring and summer… Not a fan of the cold dark winters!
