Today we’d like to introduce you to Susana Murphy.
Susana began her career in real estate in 2005 after owning marketing and recruiting firms. As Susana’s companies became successful, the foundation for her skills as a creative marketer and an aggressive negotiator was formed. In 2013 of course, creative online marketing and excellent negotiating skills in a scary market are vital to your real estate transaction’s success.
She is consistently regarded as one of the best Realtors in the South Shore real estate market. Her clients would tell you it is because of her contagious passion and her laser focus on customer service and communication. She would tell you it’s because she is lucky enough to have amazing clients who constantly send her referrals after taking such great care of them.
Susana founded her firm, ALANTE Real Estate, with one goal in mind: to better serve her clients using the latest technology, but without forgetting that “old-fashioned” values like professionalism and morals still matter to people, a lot. During a transaction as emotionally and financially important as buying or selling a home, the person who holds your hand during the process needs to be an expert, but also genuinely care about their client’s and their families best interest.
A resume should still matter too, Susana is very proud of hers. She is a Certified Investor Agent Specialist, Certified Buyer Representative and Certified Luxury Home Marketing Specialist. Think of her as a triple threat.
Her well-rounded team is made up of experienced, passionate, positive people who are focused on service, not sales. The funny thing is, they sure do sell a lot taking that approach. A South Shore resident herself, Susana is driven each day by helping her clients find the home of their dreams. She especially enjoys helping a homebuyer feel welcomed in their new community.
Great, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
With owning any type of business there are ups and downs. It’s how you come out of any given situation that shows your true character. Real Estate is a unique industry and with that being said, there have been obstacles along the way that have taught me and the company that things happen for a reason.
ALANTE Real Estate – what should we know? What do you guys do best? What sets you apart from the competition? We’re a small boutique brokerage with a big heart. We created ALANTE to fill a void. One defined by service, not by sales. Our name is taken from the words and sentiments our founder heard as a child growing up in coastal Spain each time someone knocked on her parent’s door. It means welcome. Come in. Move forward. These embody the spirit of our work.
We love our community. Clean air. Four Seasons. Celtics. Red Sox. Patriots. Bruins. Lobster. Cape Cod. The coast. Boston on New Years Eve. Family, friends. A big meal cooked at home. A romantic kiss in public. Doing the unexpected. Having the unexpected done to you. Fairness. Our kids in a school play. A dozen roses. Oysters and beer. Long walks on the beach. These are things that define us.
We are good listeners. We are doers. We believe mind, body, and spirit should be in harmony. We don’t use business speak. Especially terms commonly used in real estate. Like sales. Leads. Production. They demean clients. We are truthful. We won’t say things we know you want to hear just to make you happy. We prefer to make you happy by saying the things we believe you need to hear in order to help you make the best decision possible.
We hand pick our agents. Qualifications and experience are very important. In tandem with kindness. Passion. A positive attitude. And a healthy desire to grow beyond their comfort zone. We don’t view a cup as half full or half empty. We believe a cup isn’t worth describing until it has a few shots of really good espresso added to it. We love our profession. What moment in your career do you look back most fondly on?
Personally – I was awarded the 2016 Luxury Home Marketing Award for Best Property Marketing Video. The award was given for the property video for 216 Warren Ave in Plymouth, MA.
