Meet Susan Peterson of South Shore Golf Cars in Cape Cod

Today we’d like to introduce you to Susan Peterson.

So, before we jump into specific questions about the business, why don’t you give us some details about you and your story.
I used to work for a wonderful gentleman Ed McGuire who owed Club Car Golf Cars in New England, they mainly sold carts to golf courses, and only rented to golf courses. There were quite a few of calls, that would come in people asking to rent Club Car golf carts for weddings, parties, vacations and other events and we would have to turn them away, because the company only dealt with large volume only and not 1-2 cart rentals for Individuals and their personal events. That’s when I decided there was a need for this service and started South shore golf carts to serve the public for their special life events.

Overall, has it been relatively smooth? If not, what were some of the struggles along the way?
There were quite a few bumps in the road trying to get Inventory and having the funds to build the company, finding the right spot for people to find me.

Please tell us about South Shore Golf Cars LLC.
At South Shore Golf Carts we rent, sell and repair golf carts. I take pride in building special carts for people who like a fancy cart for the camp grounds to match their camper. Special event carts for renting for weddings and graduations, quite a few schools call to rent utility golf carts. Different sports will rent carts for Lacrosse and Soccer tournaments. Some larger corporations will rent for concerts and other music festivals. We have rented to people who have loved one who are very ill and the only way to get around is in a golf cart. We cover the territories MA, RI, and CT.
