Meet Silvie Lockerova of Silvie Lockerova Healing in North Shore

Today we’d like to introduce you to Silvie Lockerova.

Silvie, can you briefly walk us through your story – how you started and how you got to where you are today.
I started learning energy healing and attending alternative workshops when I was 17 years old. I was intensely interested in this kind of work and it was also improving my life in general. I realized that I needed to heal relationships with my parents and with myself. I never stopped working on myself, but instead, this hobby and lifestyle became my work. My intuition became quite good as well as my devotion towards general wellness and happiness in the world.

I did Reiki training as well as several other alternative methods and practiced healing work on myself and others for 20 years. I got certified as a Reiki Master/Teacher about 12 years ago and I have been seeing clients since then. I am constantly educating myself. This path towards mastery in healing never ends.

We’re always bombarded by how great it is to pursue your passion, etc – but we’ve spoken with enough people to know that it’s not always easy. Overall, would you say things have been easy for you?
Laughing. There is nothing smooth about it. First of all, I was planning a totally different career. I tour-guided for many years and created itineraries around the world. I wanted to stay in the tourism industry. I earned a bachelor’s degree in Geography and Travel. I did not think I wanted a career in healing.

Speaking of struggles: there is a lot of ego struggle – either you are thinking that you can’t do a great job and help others, or you may get an ego boost and you think that everyone needs your healing… Every energy healer who has many years of experience knows what I am talking about. Mainly, this is a very serious journey in the sense that you have to be truthful and seek the truth as your lifestyle. You need to devote yourself to this path. After letting go of some illusions in life; which can be quite a painful process, you need to find out who you are.

And of course, you are nothing like how you thought you would be. This road is a journey towards awakening. Yet, this is not just about me being awakened, I wish the whole world would take this path with me. I wish for happy people and a healthy Earth. (I am highly sensitive and I feel people’s emotions and pains. So I prefer everyone to be happy.)

So let’s switch gears a bit and go into the Silvie Lockerova Healing story. Tell us more about the business.
My company is called Silvie Lockerova Healing. I specialize in energy healing modalities such as Reiki, Seichem, Quantum Healing, and more. I also teach Reiki, and I run meditations. On top of that, with my 1-year-old, we have a weekly baby playgroup with musical instruments and toys.

My clients always get a little more from the session than Reiki. My sessions are now a combination of many healing systems which I have learned over time. Yet, Reiki is the main healing energy used in healing. My office is located at Floating Lotus (a store and an event space with bohemian fashion and ethnic musical instruments) downtown in Gloucester MA.

Floating Lotus and my healing office there are just about 100 feet from the ocean. When you leave my space, you can take a walk or just sit by the ocean and you feel like a new person. My clients outside of Gloucester often travel here to get a Reiki or Quantum Healing session and spend the day hanging by the shore. It’s like a mini-retreat.

What sets me apart from others? I think I really care about others. Some people may think that I am too strict and serious. I would rather say that I am honest and I see through people’s masks. I see into people’s souls. Nevertheless, I am very compassionate and non-judgmental. A good example is a Quantum Healing session: Clients come to see me with a specific goal to get rid of a negative habit or a pattern or they want to gain something like wellness, heal a relationship etc. After I intuitively connect to their energy field, I tell them what obstacles I see and then we clear those limiting beliefs which are stopping them from their goals.

Bringing issues to their consciousness, creating the “aha” moment while allowing in the Divine energy and a deep relaxation, is what actually brings the desired outcome. In my Reiki classes, I focus mainly on teaching intuition. I am amazed at how fast my students learn. They literally become intuitive during one day class. I also teach about the so-important energy protection (I know some people think there can’t be such a harm). I make sure I pass all my knowledge on.

Other uniqueness about me: I co-create healing events with Floating Lotus and other healers. Together we work on transforming energy, focusing on peace and joy. When you leave the event, you are floating out of the Floating Lotus.

Has luck played a meaningful role in your life and business?
This is how lucky I am: I was born in “dark ages”, yet I live in a paradise.

I was born and raised in Czechoslovakia – a country ruled at the time by a totalitarian regime. When I was 6 years old, my mother was diagnosed with ovarian cancer and struggled with her health issues for many years. Fortunately, there was an energy healer who helped my mother to heal. Without the energy healing, the western medicine applied in a socialist country literally would have killed her. (At that time many things were censored and illegal, so my mother had that healing work done “underground”). My mother survived, which shaped my interest in alternative techniques of healing. Since then, I have read many books on the subject.

My childhood was rather difficult. I did most of the household work because my mother was unable to – she was disabled by medications that were “supposed” to improve her condition. Also, the period of totalitarian regime did not create any joy in the home. As a child of a political dissident (my father), I knew that I would not have the opportunity to study. Families that were supportive of the communist party enjoyed more benefits for their children. I knew that I would be able to travel abroad. I saw my family members being persecuted for their religion and political opinion. Very dark ages!

Everything changed when I was 13 years old when the whole totalitarian system collapsed and we gained freedom. The event was called the Velvet Revolution which was a peaceful demonstration organized by students and artists. The whole Iron Curtain in central and eastern Europe went down.

With the freedom in Czechoslovakia (and the Czech Republic after a peaceful separation 1 year later), my whole life changed one hundred percent. From a rather quiet and sad child, I became a fun and dynamic teenager. I went to study at the regional school of Art and Craft which would not be possible if the country was still oppressed. After my studies, I went to travel the world. I believe the impossible is possible! This also plays an important work in my work. I have experienced huge changes and miraculous events. I was taught to distrust institutions and to stay truthful about my beliefs. Yet, I was thought to be reserved and quiet about my personal life.
