Meet Rocky Gauron of Al Gauron Deep Sea Fishing in Hampton Beach

Today we’d like to introduce you to Rocky Gauron.

Rocky, please share your story with us. How did you get to where you are today?
My grandfather started the company in 1932. He had 4 sons. They took over and I was literally raised on the ocean. I could drive boats before I could drive a car.

Overall, has it been relatively smooth? If not, what were some of the struggles along the way?
We are a seasonal business and therefore I spend half of the year in Hawaii and run boats there.

Al Gauron Deep Sea Fishing – what should we know? What do you guys do best? What sets you apart from the competition?
We are a fishing, whale watch and cruise company. I am one of the captains and I run our largest boat NORTHERN STAR and my 6 passenger vessel THUMPER.

I am proud that my family has stuck together and literally kept this company afloat.

Wait until you see our kids we have coming up as we speak on these boats…it’s only going to get even better.

We love each other. We love to fish and we love to help our customers catch fish.

What is “success” or “successful” for you?
If you are able to do what you love everyday…. you’ve made it.
