Meet Nicole Itani of Nicole Ann Photo

Today we’d like to introduce you to Nicole Itani.

So, before we jump into specific questions about the business, why don’t you give us some details about you and your story.
For as long as I can remember, I always had a camera in my hand. Everyone always counted on me to capture photos and share them. There’s something about the ability to capture a single moment and cherish it for a lifetime. What began as a hobby, started to give me a purpose to help others. A few years ago, I lost my mom. It changed me as a person. One of the hardest things I have ever gone through. I now only have photos left to share all the great stories and memories of my mom with my girls. It gave photography a whole new meaning.

I build relationships with all of my clients. We always have fun and I like to make the session as stress-free as possible. I love that my clients allow me to be creative, yet ensure the I capture all of their needs. I do what I do because I love doing it, but I also love that my photos mean so much to my clients, friends, and families. And one day, when they are sharing stories, they will hold my photo in their hand and smile.

Great, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
As you know there are a million photographers. So, why me? Many will say I am easy to work with. Down to earth. Flexible and reliable. Creative. Fun. It definitely hasn’t been easy but I continue to grow year after year. I continue to educate myself to become a better photographer and continue to capture more families and loved ones.

Please tell us more about your work, what else should we know?
I tend to find myself capturing more families and children lifestyle sessions. I do offer newborn, maternity, engagement, bridal, business photography as well. I don’t limit myself. I like to try new ideas. I am an on-location photographer. Most lifestyle sessions are done in a park, field, farm, lake, beach or in your own home. I work with the client to understand their needs and vision, and we come up with a plan from there. I like to have my client be a part of the decision making along the way.

What has been the proudest moment of your career so far?
I was published in a magazine in Rhode Island for a fitness photo. Also, a winner of the best in Raynham for photography in 2017 (voted by the people).
