Today we’d like to introduce you to Meghan Stornelli.
Meghan, let’s start with your story. We’d love to hear how you got started and how the journey has been so far.
Sports were an important part of my life growing up. Not only did they teach me the importance of teamwork, fitness, hard work, and the ability to push my body beyond any mental limits, but they were also a way to relieve stress, be competitive, and feel energized.
During my high school and college years, I was introduced to physical therapy as a result of various injuries. I was amazed at my therapist’s knowledge of the human body and the ability to treat injuries with specific exercises. This led me to realize helping others through exercise was the perfect profession for me.
After working for a few years in an outpatient physical therapy clinic near Boston, my passion for preventing injuries grew. As an athlete, I understand the emotional and physical impact an injury can have when you are no longer able to participate in a sport.
Treating hundreds of clients over the years, I now understand the impact an injury can have on a parent needing their personal time, a person trying to live a healthier life, an adult trying to make it through a workday without pain, and so on.
I was determined to open a physical therapy clinic that not only helps people recover, but helps prevent an injury from occurring in the first place.
Has it been a smooth road?
The fitness industry has taken off recently and one of my biggest obstacles is standing out in the sea of other health/wellness professionals and fitness programs. There are personal trainers, athletic trainers, wellness coaches, chiropractors, acupuncturists, massage therapists, etc.
All of these professions can aide with certain aspects of the healing process. However, I have found most of the population does not have a complete understanding of the full spectrum of care, a provider’s qualifications and/or treatment options associated with each field.
Through frequent one on one interactions, I hope to educate clients and help them understand when it is appropriate to seek advice or treatment from other health/wellness professionals to achieve the best long-term outcomes.
We’d love to hear more about your business.

Honestly, my proudest moment has been taking the leap to open a physical therapy clinic that I envisioned since earning my degree. Starting a business is a big risk, and not letting my fear of failure prevent me from chasing my dream already feels like an accomplishment.
I am very fortunate to have the support from friends and family, which motivates me even more to reach my goals.
