Meet Maureen Brown of Advocacy for Special Kids in Braintree

Today we’d like to introduce you to Maureen Brown.

So, before we jump into specific questions about the business, why don’t you give us some details about you and your story.
I started advocating for students with special needs after my son was born 8 weeks premature. I began learning the law regarding special education regulations. I obtain a certification at the Federation for Children with Special Needs.

I have advocated for thousands of families over the past 15 years and really feel I have been able to make a difference in their lives.

Has it been a smooth road?
Running into road blocks with school districts and having some retaliate on my clients simply for advocating for their children. Trying to do everything myself as a small business owner.

Understanding the importance of outsourcing those parts of my business I am not qualified to do.

We’d love to hear more about your business.
