Meet Marie Goodwin of Wink Lash Boutique & Spa in Medway

Today we’d like to introduce you to Marie Goodwin.

So, before we jump into specific questions about the business, why don’t you give us some details about you and your story.
I have been a master aesthetician and lash artist since 2007. As a person who has an infinite love for personalized service and an eye for beauty, I wanted an oasis that would stand out and become a lifestyle of celebrating beauty and being uniquely beautiful.

I created Wink a single mother with very little, and a lot of passion. My ultimate goal was to develop a specialized beauty and wellness destination. A place where you didn’t have to go far to receive exceptional service, knowledge & results by highly trained professionals.

Overall, has it been relatively smooth? If not, what were some of the struggles along the way?
The hardest obstacle I hit was after 2 years of being open, the building I was in had caught fire and I lost everything. I wouldn’t and couldn’t let that defeat me. Being a single mom, I had to get my act together and make it work so I could continue to provide for my son, I continued to work and searched for a place to start over. I will never forget receiving that phone call and I will never forget the outpouring of love and support.

Please tell us about Wink Lash Boutique & Spa.
We have a wide variety of clinical facial treatments, waxing services, lash services and makeup. I am most proud of the family I have created amongst my staff. Each one of us Lift the other up and help each other grow. I think in our industry it is really important to be on the same team, work towards the same goal and be nice to one another. It’s amazing what can happen when women work together and empower one another.

If you had to go back in time and start over, would you have done anything differently?
Nothing. I have learned so much about myself along this process and will continue to take those lessons with open arms.
