Meet Lennox Chase of Chase Legal Services

Today we’d like to introduce you to Lennox Chase.

So, before we jump into specific questions about the business, why don’t you give us some details about you and your story.
I grew up in Dorchester, which is a neighborhood in Boston, Massachusetts. My mother was a detective for the Boston Police Department and my father was the owner of an auto repair shop. My parents were big believers in education and self-motivation, which greatly influenced my career.

My mother’s social justice leanings and my father’s entrepreneurial spirit are the cornerstones of my law practice. Life is all about relationships. Over the years, the practice of law has allowed me to facilitate connections that support my work with numerous nonprofits. Needham Bank is at the hub of my work with several nonprofits, such as Hale Reservation and Casa Myrna.

As a kid that grew up in an urban environment, I appreciate the opportunities that Hale Reservation provides to the local community. Hale consists of 1,100 acres of trails and campsites that are used by over 4,000 children every summer. Casa Myrna is a domestic violence organization with over 100 employees dedicated to helping others. I find immense joy in being able to provide help with the oversight and execution of long-term strategic planning for organizations that give people a hand up.

Has it been a smooth road?
We all deal with challenges. How we handle adversity determines our future. Focusing on the present is the best way to improve our future. Years ago, I was on my own at the age of 18. Being a first generation college student required unconventional choices that led to long term stability. When knocked down, we can either stay down or get up.

Standing back up is a process that leads to an upwards spiral of personal development. Grit and focus can create miracles.

We’d love to hear more about your business.
I am the founder of a general practice with a focus on real estate. However, life is all about growth and I have helped many with elder law issues. Being a solution provider is the best description of Chase Legal Services. What makes me most proud is being a part of collaborative efforts that help others achieve their goals.

Is our city a good place to do what you do?
Boston’s schools, hospitals, and neighborhoods make our city a great place to start a business. Our city is home to some of the best universities in the country. In addition, the hospitals are considered the best in the world for various areas of medicine. Further, the diverse neighborhoods are fertile ground for companies to service virtually any imaginable demographic.
