Meet Larry Goldman of Goldman Environmental Consultants in South Shore

Today we’d like to introduce you to Larry Goldman.

Larry, can you briefly walk us through your story – how you started and how you got to where you are today.
Started with USEPA, Region 1 (New England) from 1972-1981. Held several positions of increasing responsibility. Left EPA as Director of the Enforcement Division responsible for all federal enforcement, compliance and permitting programs for the 6 New England States. After 3 years of consulting for others, I founded GEC in 1985.GEC has been in business for over 30 years.

Overall, has it been relatively smooth? If not, what were some of the struggles along the way?
It has not always been a “smooth road”! GEC has been through several recessions, political changes and personnel challenges.

Alright – so let’s talk business. Tell us about Environmental Consultants – what should we know?
What we do is contained on our web site….www.goldmanenvironmental.com. I’m most proud of the reputation we have earned over the past 30 years as well as our ability to retain key personnel and survive where many of our competitors have not. I believe the quality and credibility of our work sets us apart.

What do you like best about our city? What do you like least about our city?
Born and bred in Greater Boston. I like the diversity of people, educational and intellectual environment and the spirit of our sports fans which includes me! I dislike any bigotry or hatred of others that may surface.
