Today we’d like to introduce you to Kibbee Miller.
Kibbee, let’s start with your story. We’d love to hear how you got started and how the journey has been so far.
I started my blog when I was in high school, and a way to vent any and all of my frustrations. It quickly picked up traction and when I was in college I landed my first few internships at fashion companies in the Boston area that were essentially the coolest places to work. After I graduated, I’ve been working at the worlds largest casual shoe company and managed to get my dream job. I currently manage both social and traditional media and blog part-time.
Outside of all that, I am one of six members who make up the Collective US, a creative marketing services and events powerhouse based here in Boston. Over the last 5 years of working together, we have been named Boston’s best dance party, worked with nearly every venue in the city on small and large scale events and recently obtained a partnership with Red Bull. We are looking to expand our capabilities to other markets in the next few years!
Overall, has it been relatively smooth? If not, what were some of the struggles along the way?
Being a woman of color in both personal and work settings can be exhausting.
Please tell us about Kibsta.
For Kibsta, I am proud to just have the network and readers that I have now. They have allowed me opportunities to partner with so many awesome brands. I am also extremely fortunate to have great business partners with CLLCTV as we’re like a family. We all bring different and much-needed strengths to the table to help make our group successful. We started a culture in Boston that was seriously lacking, and have been fortunate enough to get to continue upon that growth each and every month.
If you had to go back in time and start over, would you have done anything differently?
I would have registered for an LLC in high school!
