Meet Jesse Goodenough of Cocodex Media in Belmont

Today we’d like to introduce you to Jesse Goodenough.

Jesse, let’s start with your story. We’d love to hear how you got started and how the journey has been so far.
We’re a team of two seasoned developers consisting of James Daniello (founder) and Jesse Goodenough. James and I were childhood friends who always had a fascination in video games and technology in general. After we graduated high school we ended up at separate colleges but with the same matriculation, that being computer science. Four years later we found ourselves proud graduates with a bachelor’s of science degree to back it up. After college and over the years we both worked for a number of web development companies. I ultimately ended up as a Freelance Developer for a creative agency based out of NYC, Hungry Inc. James took a different direction and now works for Demiurge Studios as a key game developer and is currently pursuing a masters in computer science. Around the summer of 2013 James decided to start Cocodex Media, a web development agency that provides great fast reliable service to clients looking for affordable websites specializing in responsive design. To us, Cocodex media is a great way for James and I to provide a great product to the client based on passion, knowledge, skills and friendship that helps us work great together. To say the least I’m proud to have remained friends with James throughout the years no matter how far we live from each other. We are a great team who communicates well and works hard to provide the best product our client desires.

Great, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
Generally speaking it has been a smooth road but let’s not forget that programming and development in general is a hard, fun, challenging process that’s always changing. In terms of development I feel we face many of the same struggles all developers face. The fact that we work so well together makes these struggles less of a problem. It’s a balancing act, James and I both work other jobs which takes up time as well but we make sure communication with the client is clear and that the client remains happy and well informed.

Cocodex Media – what should we know? What do you guys do best? What sets you apart from the competition?
Cocodex Media consists of seasoned veterans in web design and development, specializing in responsive design. Whether your job is a small one, or large, we deliver quality work you can be happy with. We have worked on a number of stacks, languages and environments from PHP, JavaScript to WordPress based websites. As a company I feel we are well organized and able to take on any size project and scope it out appropriately which leads to success on meeting deadlines. What sets us apart from the others I think is our great relationship we have as business partners combined with our seasoned skills and experience.

What moment in your career do you look back most fondly on?
For myself (Jesse) it’s always been the process of delivering a great product to the customer and having worked in the field for quite some time I have had the pleasure many times over.

I can’t speak for James directly but I feel obtaining a position at Demiurge Studios and now going for his masters in computer science are 2 impressive milestones for him.

Either way, we are a strong knowledgeable team here at Cocodex Media.
