Meet Geraldo Almeida of Geraldo’s Plastering and Painting Inc in Quincy

Today we’d like to introduce you to Geraldo Almeida.

Geraldo, let’s start with your story. We’d love to hear how you got started and how the journey has been so far.
When I came to the U.S. from Brazil I worked at Regina Pizzeria making minimum wage. Shortly after I stumbled across a Contractor ditching the pizza industry to learn true craftsmanship and make a better living to support my family. Nothing comes easy so I set off to work day and night improving my skills. Unfortunately the owner of the company I was working for had passed and work had slowed down. Struggling to find a better opportunity I decided to start my own business. Getting started wasn’t easy, I was doing all the work myself all while trying to manage the business. I did everything I could to make it work and today I am proud to say that I am living the American Dream.

Great, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
My biggest struggle was looking customers to engage with so that I could provide my services to. It’s all about who you know so coming from another country was difficult for me.

Alright – so let’s talk business. Tell us about Geraldo’s Plastering and Painting Inc. – what should we know?
