Meet Gary Davis of Davis Painting Company in Wakefield

Today we’d like to introduce you to Gary Davis.

Thanks for sharing your story with us Gary. So, let’s start at the beginning and we can move on from there.
Attended Massachusetts College of Art, graduating in 1980. Spent 18 years as a freelance illustrator working for clients such as Harvard University, Ryder Truck, Boston magazine and Reebok. The computer affected the design and illustration business to such an extent, I was forced to find another line of work. I formed Davis Painting Company in 2001 and have worked to build the business offering fine interior painting and color consultation. I still pursue painting and drawing and am a member of the Copley Society of Art, Concord Art Association and Charles Fine Art Gallery in Gloucester.

Has it been a smooth road?
The struggles I’ve experienced have been what so many businesses have…. trying to build a brand and offer quality work while trying to maintain a steady flow of work.

So, as you know, we’re impressed with Davis Painting Company – tell our readers more, for example what you’re most proud of as a company and what sets you apart from others.
I have a reputation for precise, quality interior painting services and great customer service and also have the ability to offer color consultation thanks to my years in the illustration/art field.

Let’s touch on your thoughts about our city – what do you like the most and least?
I love being so close to Boston (reside just 10 miles north) Love the city especially the restaurants. Don’t like the traffic.
