Meet Eliezer Asamoah of NikEli Photography

Today we’d like to introduce you to Eliezer Asamoah.

Thanks for sharing your story with us Eliezer. So, let’s start at the beginning and we can move on from there.
I’ve always had a passion for photography, but the dream to get a professional camera started when my cousin, a professional photographer in Ghana, captured me for his test shot. I loved the picture from that shot. Seeing how blurred out the background was, I began to love it more. I became so obsessed with the image that I decided to get my own DSLR camera. Since getting the camera, my knowledge about the photography world broadened and my passion for it increased.

I started as a hobbyist, taking random pictures and posting on my Instagram page until someone sent a dm asking how much I charge. I then realized I could gain from it.

Knowing that I decided to make it a business and this is where it got me so far. From traveling to places I never thought of seeing, interacting with all sorts of people, capturing celebrities, and working with other amazing talents.

Great, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
Coming from Ghana, i”d say no. Moving to the states made it a little rough for me. I had to leave my studio and most of gears in Ghana. Over here, it was a little difficult connecting with people but I managed to push through. Made some friends, and with their help, I’ve been able to come this far.

NikEli Photography – what should we know? What do you guys do best? What sets you apart from the competition?

What moment in your career do you look back most fondly on?
