Meet David Salzman of Espresso Dave’s Coffee Catering

Today we’d like to introduce you to David Salzman.

David, let’s start with your story. We’d love to hear how you got started and how the journey has been so far.
I established Espresso Dave’s Specialty Coffee Catering in 1993 because I was tired of drinking watered-down, tasteless coffee at special events. I’m a coffee nut and decided to become the go-to-guy with a portable, specialty coffee bar service. For more than two decades, I’ve set up thousands of specialty coffee bars, with single and multiple carts, at weddings and events, large and small throughout Boston, and New England. In fact, my baristas can be found at event venues across America.

Great, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
It’s been a pleasure to grow this business!

Alright – so let’s talk business. Tell us about Espresso Dave’s Coffee Catering – what should we know?
We bring the specialty coffee café to workplaces, corporate meetings and events, as well as social occasions, like weddings and parties, throughout Boston and New England.

Espresso Dave’s Specialty Coffee Catering offers a rich, aromatic selection of delicious espresso-based beverages, regular or decaffeinated, including Italian-quality, darkly roasted espressos, cappuccinos, lattés, and mochaccinos. For tea-lovers, we serve luscious chai lattés. Our baristas prepare the espresso-based drinks in a variety of popular ways: hot, iced or frozen. We also feature popular seasonal flavor shots (including sugar-free). We enjoy creating signatures coffees and themed drinks to enhance the beverage experience for guests.

We’re proud to be the preferred cappuccino catering service for several Fortune 100 and 500 companies, many of New England’s most-respected universities and colleges, and some of the country’s most exclusive hotels, country clubs, and resorts. And, we’re proud to say we’re heading into our 25th year in business and still really enjoy working with each and every client to promote goodwill and good times at their events!

Is there a characteristic or quality that you feel is essential to success?
There are many characteristics I believe are important to a successful business, among them are providing the customer excellent product and friendly, polite service.
