Today we’d like to introduce you to Cyndi Dionne.
Cyndi, can you briefly walk us through your story – how you started and how you got to where you are today.
I decided at a young age that I wanted to be in the beauty industry. I left the school system in the town I grew up in, and decided to start my high school years at a vocational high school. By 15 years old I was working in a hair salon sweeping floors and as a shampoo girl. When I graduated I was a Licensed Beautician and started my career working and managing salons in New York, Boston, and the outskirts of Boston. I now own and operate a salon in my hometown of Hopkinton, MA. I love being back home. If you asked me when I was 18 if I would open a salon in my home town my answer would have been ” no way”. It is a nice feeling to be home, now that I am a bit older and wiser.
Has it been a smooth road?
For me, I look at every struggle as a growing experience. I am sure there have been struggles, none that really stick out. Again, I try to focus on the positive side of things.
So, as you know, we’re impressed with Liv Salon & Color Studio – tell our readers more, for example what you’re most proud of as a company and what sets you apart from others.
What we specialize in , and known for is Hair Color. The entire team of stylists are American Board Certified Hair Colorists. Basically, that is like having a PHD in hair color. Only 1/4 of 1% of our industry takes their level of education to that height.
I feel with our color knowledge, and the fact that the entire staff truly cares about the community, and the quality of service they provide our customers with. Is what we are most proud of and what sets us apart from the rest.
Let’s touch on your thoughts about our city – what do you like the most and least?
I love the history of this area.. The road system in Boston is not the best.
