Meet Carolyn and Richard Leiter of Revived Furniture and Home Decor in Derry

Today we’d like to introduce you to Carolyn and Richard Leiter.

Our store was founded by Richard and Carolyn Leiter and is inspired by Richard’s love of antiques as well as his passion for breathing new life into old things. With a great eye and an attention to detail, Richard’s limitless imagination REVIVES old furniture back to its original beauty, sometimes transforming remnants of a piece into something totally unique. He likes to call those pieces “Richard Originals.” In addition to these renovated and original pieces, Revived is also a purveyor of new furniture, home decor, classic chic, and accessories to satisfy any style. Our hope is that when you come to our store you will be inspired by our unique inventory and one of a kind furniture pieces to create the home you have always dreamed of.

We also love helping you create unique furniture pieces specific to your home. We have worked with many customers in creating custom farmhouse tables, painted furniture, black pipe shelving, industrial style dining tables, benches, and more. Bring us your ideas and we will work together to bring them to life.

Again, our hope is that when you shop our online store or visit us in person that you are inspired to create the home you’ve always desired! Come visit us in Derry, NH at 2 Island Pond Road. We’re open Tues. through Sunday from 11am to 6pm.

Great, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
The challenges we are facing at the moment is needing to hire more staff to keep up with our custom orders.

Alright – so let’s talk business. Tell us about Revived Furniture and Home Decor – what should we know?
What sets us apart from other stores like us is our ability to create custom furniture and home decor with our large selection of reclaimed wood. Our “REVIVED” painted furniture is also very different as we start with high quality gently loved furniture and have developed a unique painting process which gives our furniture a more clean classic distressed look which customers love! We also have a large selection of inspiring new home decor, imported and domestic as well as the very best “life like” faux flowers available in the area.

Is there a characteristic or quality that you feel is essential to success?
Taking the time to help customers make decisions with their decorating ideas. Wether it’s building a kitchen island out of reclaimed wood or creating a floral arrangement in their favorite vase, we find it very rewarding when our customers are happy with their purchases and we love being part of that process. We also keep our store interesting as we always try to have new inventory often which our customers really enjoy. Many say that they love our store because it’s always different and inspiring every time they visit.
