Meet Ashante Fernandes of Gemineye Whole Health and Wellness in Brockton

Today we’d like to introduce you to Ashante Fernandes.

Ashante, can you briefly walk us through your story – how you started and how you got to where you are today.
We are a holistic service and handmade product company that caters to the needs of anyone looking to improve their overall quality of life. We are based online and service the local south metro and Boston area as well as many clients all over the country. I started my business at 19 yrs old, I am currently 25, selling handmade jewelry and gemstones. The reason I started my business was that I had always had a love for accessories and creating things with my own hands; as a highly spiritual person, it only seemed right to combine these things into something that could potentially become lucrative for me.

When I began my business I was going through some health issues and found that the healing properties of crystals were therapeutic to work with as well as sell. I felt confident knowing that what I was creating for people was something that could help them heal and change any issues that they faced in their lives as I was beginning to heal and change my own. I inevitably gained a lot of knowledge about crystals and their healing properties and became obsessed with learning about how I could inform others about these properties. After about 2 years I was offered the chance to study under an herbalist who I greatly admire and eventually became a certified profession herbalist at Herb Culture University through their 6-month training program. I have always had a passion for holistic health whether it be herbs, crystals, or energy healing.

Along with my own personal healing journey, I found that spirituality was an integral part of overall healing and began to share the techniques of meditation and spiritual practice that I learned with others through my business through spiritual coaching. It was a slow start at first to transition from retail to services, but I feel that I have begun to master the process and am looking forward to sharing my gifts of teaching, coaching, and healing with the world. I now currently offer a plethora of healing and spiritual services including; spiritual coaching, holistic health coaching, spiritual readings, and Reiki sessions and courses. It had been an amazingly fulfilling journey and we have helped people all around the state, country, and world begin to heal their life holistically.

We’re always bombarded by how great it is to pursue your passion, etc – but we’ve spoken with enough people to know that it’s not always easy. Overall, would you say things have been easy for you?
Well, I think for a business no road is completely smooth. Some of the struggles that we personally have had to overcome are a lack of start-up funding, luckily living in the modern age of technology this has helped us to drastically reduce overhead costs and service many people who we wouldn’t be able to if we were strictly a local business. So this creative strategy has definitely been a blessing!

So, as you know, we’re impressed with Gemineye Whole Health and Wellness – tell our readers more, for example what you’re most proud of as a company and what sets you apart from others.
