Meet Andy Everleigh of Environmental Pools in Chelmsford

Today we’d like to introduce you to Andy Everleigh.

Andy, let’s start with your story. We’d love to hear how you got started and how the journey has been so far.
I started the company in 1988 after working with the largest gunite pool builder in the northeast. I opted to start my own company with a vision to create a company which spends the time with their consumer and personalize each project to their specific needs. I spent most of my time working in depth with my clients to design and build a pool and backyard that met their specific needs.

At this point, we develop our slogan in which we still maintain today “Design Excellence with a Personal Touch”. Over the years our company has continued to grow into a very specialized niche within the high-end pool building sector. The growth of the company has been the strength of our employees in which most of them have been with the company for 15+ years and the extensive design ability we have reached to put together the dream backyard for our clients. The projects we work on day in and day out come with great detail and communication between all parties involved.

We have been recognized among one of the top 50 pool builders in the country for the past 3 years now as well as being recognized in the Wall Street Journal this September for a dream pool we built in Franklin, MA. I have seen my company’s growth over the past several years expedite as my sons have taken the reigns within the company and are a driving force to the innovative designs and backyard paradises we are building.

Great, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
Like any small business, there have been many ups and down based on the economy swings we see. We have been able to overcome each one of these based on the strength of our direct referral leads and recurring business we get from our clients.

Please tell us about Environmental Pools.
My company specializes in constructing high-end residential gunite swimming pool that involves many design elements from water to fire to natural stone in which is imported from all over the world. We are known for the high-quality installations we do and the personal commitment that we have to each and every project. I am most proud of the company’s reputation among the industry as it is a true representative as to how much myself and my employees care about the end result in each project we take on.

Do you look back particularly fondly on any memories from childhood?
My favorite memory from my childhood is growing up in a small neighborhood where we used to play every competitive sport you could possibly think about. Competition and an active lifestyle is something that is still a big part of my life.
