Meet Alison Lindsay and Meredith Taylor of Lindsay Taylor SPAtique in Metrowest

Today we’d like to introduce you to Alison Lindsay and Meredith Taylor.

Meredith was an esthetician for 14 years in Boston working in the back bay and commuting in from Westborough daily. Having 3 small children and a husband who travels a lot for work, she was feeling a need to have more balance and be closer to home. While still working in the back bay she opened her own small studio on her own but saw a need immediately to be bigger with more support.

Alison had been most recently working in the education segment of the esthetics field while maintaining her own practice within a spa in Northborough. Having over 30 years of experience in the industry and with an extensive background in managing spas and salons, she was ready to set out on her own to open a small spa.

Meredith and Alison crossed paths while each was planning on opening a small spa on their own separately. They stayed in touch and each wished the other well. Meredith actually contacted Alison with the idea of joining forces and bringing their talents to the same table. They have not looked back since and now cannot imagine doing this without the other. They got to work immediately scouting the perfect location, contacting vendors for potential treatment and retail lines, and, most importantly, putting the best team of professionals together.

We’re always bombarded by how great it is to pursue your passion, etc – but we’ve spoken with enough people to know that it’s not always easy. Overall, would you say things have been easy for you?
For the most part, it has been a smooth road. I am not sure we would say we have had struggles along the way but we have definitely learned many lessons on this journey. We went on this adventure with a certain amount of wide-eyed innocence and trust. While we still trust people, we have learned to ask questions and figure out how something will benefit the business better.

So, as you know, we’re impressed with Lindsay Taylor SPAtique – tell our readers more, for example, what you’re most proud of as a company and what sets you apart from others.
We are a boutique spa located in downtown Westborough. We offer the following services:
Facial treatments
Waxing
Makeup services
Lash and brow tinting
Massage
Body treatments
Oncology facials and massages

Between the two owners, we have 50 years of experience so our specialty really is skin care and how to take the best care of yourself that you can. We carry product lines that are very clean without any ingredients that would be considered harmful to your health and/or toxic.

We are so proud of all of our 5-star reviews across social media and we love that they mention our awesome team members and the great professional work that they do. However, we are most proud that so many of our cherished clients mention how welcome they are made to feel when they walk into our establishment and that the entire staff is so friendly.

We are looking into adding some new things to our menu to bring our skin care game up to a new level and satisfy that need we hear so often regarding anti-aging treatments. Stay tuned to see what we end up bringing in.

So, what’s next? Any big plans?
We do have plans on expanding our facility at some point down the road when it makes sense in all areas to do so. As mentioned previously, we are exploring different options at the moment to bring in some newer technology to offer our clients for treatments with immediately visible results. We are having fun learning about these options during the exploratory phase.
