Meet Alexandra Regalado and Felicia Stewart of Fully Nourished

Today we’d like to introduce you to Alexandra Regalado and Felicia Stewart.

Fully Nourished was born in the summer of 2017 from the collective passion of Registered Dietitians and BFFs Alexandra and Felicia. It is an online resource for all things health and wellness – delicious recipes, simplified nutrition information, health advice, lifestyle inspiration, and more.

They met while studying at Simmons College where they each received post-baccalaureate certificates in nutrition and dietetics. Together, they learned the fundamentals of nutrition, explored practicing these concepts in their own lives, and developed a deep friendship. Fate aligned yet again, and they were both accepted to the prestigious Dietetic Internship program at Massachusetts General Hospital (MGH), where they completed training in the clinical, counseling, and food service aspects of dietetics. During this time, they desired to create a platform to share their passions for nutrition, health, and wellness and thus began Fully Nourished.

Many long days were spent at the hospital, calculating tube feeds, counseling patients, and developing quality assurance parameters for patient meals. They continuously leaned on one another for support and encouragement and discussed their dreams and career aspirations. They each shared their visions for having an impactful influence on the health and well-being of others. With so much conflicting nutrition and wellness advice, they were drawn to create a space for sharing credible and exciting, as well as easy to understand and implement information. Experiencing so much together already, it was natural to take this next step together as well.

We’re always bombarded by how great it is to pursue your passion, etc – but we’ve spoken with enough people to know that it’s not always easy. Overall, would you say things have been easy for you?
Creating this space continues to be a fun and extraordinarily rewarding experience. We love working together to develop delicious recipes, break down the latest in nutrition science, and cultivate engaging content to share with the fully nourished community. However, we each have full-time jobs as Clinical Dietitians at MGH that we are equally as dedicated to. We work hard to strike a balance between Fully Nourished, our roles as clinicians, and our personal lives.

It’s not always easy, and it can definitely be challenging to shift gears. We spend a lot of time after work and on the weekends developing our content and connecting with the online community via Instagram and Facebook. It’s a lot to juggle, but we are so passionate about our work and wouldn’t have it any other way.

So let’s switch gears a bit and go into the Fully Nourished story. Tell us more about the business.
Fully Nourished is an online resource to help others eat well, live inspired, and feel fully nourished. Each week we extend our passion for a happy and healthy life by sharing blog posts, recipes, and insight on the latest nutrition research. We believe that all foods fit, all bodies are beautiful, the movement should be joyous, and balance is key.

We have worked hard to create a brand that appreciates each individual’s journey and recognizes that nourishment is achieved through more than just food. In our opinion, feeling truly and fully nourished incorporates wellness of the mind, body, and soul. We aim to provide resources, inspiration, and a supportive space to help others.

We enjoy supporting and collaborating with companies and health professionals aligned with our mission. Recipe development, nutritional analysis, product and restaurant reviews, cooking demonstrations, and sponsored blog posts are just some of what we currently offer.

Still, in the early stages, there is so much we envision for our future. We are excited to expand our services to include wellness seminars and nutrition counseling, as well as to increase our partnerships with fellow wellness professionals and brands that share our vision.
