Today we’d like to introduce you to Sophie J. Cherenfant.
Thanks for sharing your story with us Sophie. So, let’s start at the beginning and we can move on from there.
I started my fashion blog, That Fille Sophie because I wanted an outlet to express my creativity with fashion, beauty and my recent adventure in college. I thought to mix fashion with educational posts that could motivate me but also motivate someone else who came across my page. I am at the age where most of my peers are done with their first college degree, in my late 20’s, I went back to school and decided to live in a dorm. Those details about my new life led me to start and be serious about my fashion brand “That Fille Sophie”. I chose the name “That Fille” (which is That Girl translated from french) because it is a mixture of my heritage as a Haitian-American and because it speaks life and positivity.
Great, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
Oh no, the road to blogging has been everything but a smooth one. I am still learning and honestly believe that I will be an establish blogger if I keep up. My advices to any women who are just starting out is to be intentional about what they chose to post. Understand that your content won’t be for everybody that is why you need to find your niche. Pretty pictures with amazing details will always get you ahead in the game and last but not least get your hands dirty with work; network, link up, comment, like, read, tell people about your blog. Brag about your band, you’re all that you got.
What advice would you give to someone at the start of her career?
The most important piece of advice is to be intentional about what you want to put out for your brand.
