Ann, let’s start with your story. We’d love to hear how you got started and how the journey has been so far.
7 years ago, the real estate industry landscape was poised to evolve rapidly. There was a pressing need for competent, clever and compassionate real estate agents who could keep up. My professional experience with legal contracts and educational systems prepared me to hit the industry at a sprint.

My life game and aim is to positively impact as many people as possible. I’ve always been a sucker for encouraging people who give life and business their best effort. Luckily, my business gives daily chances to promote others. The head shot photo shown in this article is a product of a small village of dedicated entrepreneurs who are listed on my Instagram @anncohenrealty behind the scenes posts.

My business is based on sound professional practices, but it’s the bubbling of marketing ideas that continually wake me up in the morning. While listing properties, I revel in customizing marketing to the target audiences; as a buyer agent, it’s all about helping clients to understand nuances essential for winning bids, making informed choices, and landing in a spot that makes their heart sing.

A current fascination is the power of broadcasting key information for Boston area buyers, sellers and other real estate agents via social media. We all win by learning and sharing, right?

Besides professional life, my daily thrills are adventures in Boston and beyond, live music, meditative exercise, and eating really sumptuous food that isn’t prepared by me. I adore three incredible young adults and a quirky rescue dog, named Frankie, that call me mom. I also buy and sell real estate myself because it’s fun and it’s part of living my dream life.

Overall, has it been relatively smooth? If not, what were some of the struggles along the way?
The road is as smooth as you make it. Not everyone, family included, understands people who take risks or live with passion. Having a guiding mission helps with perspective. Surrounding yourself with kind people, who are genuinely curious about life, fuels spirit for any for any journey or challenge.

Besides that, there always seems to be someone who gracefully navigates tougher circumstances; use them as models.

I blend the personal experience of a traditional real estate transaction with new sophisticated business standards and leveraged technology. My niche markets are millenials who are purchasing and empty nesters who actively choose another awesome chapter in their life.

My team has a spectacular track record getting buyer bids accepted in competitive markets. Efficiently getting a buyer a home that works for them, gets them to enjoying and building their lives. We take a patient educational approach, peppered with time-critical expert tips to position buyers to best meet their goals.

Empty nesters are my peers! It’s a joy to help them navigate the process and to see them flourish in their next chosen life adventures. Selling in the MetroWest burbs is second nature to me. Clients benefit from my connections, proven solutions, and understanding of how stressful it is to dismantle a household then prepare it for selling for top dollar. As a list agent, clients get a top-notch marketing, legal, and property preparation team.

What advice would you give to someone at the start of her career?
Rely on your smarts and be resourceful; pause and enjoy life’s opportunities every day; be confidently direct and compassionate with others.
