Conversations with the Inspiring Natalie Rosenbaum

Today we’d like to introduce you to Natalie Rosenbaum.

Natalie, can you briefly walk us through your story – how you started and how you got to where you are today.
About a year ago, I was tagged in a Facebook post to apply for an internship with Kathleen Post, blogger and content creator for A few days later, I got the internship and began assisting Kathleen with different behind the scenes aspects of her blog! As I was doing this, I thought to myself, “Hey, maybe I could be a blogger too!” For the next few months, I spent time contemplating if this was something I really wanted to do and thought I would be capable of. I got a ton of advice from family, friends, Kathleen and other bloggers I knew in the Boston area and I realized I had nothing to lose! I spent most of December working on my blog and then finally launched it on New Year’s Day. So, I haven’t been doing this for too long! I am always saying to people when they congratulate me on the blog that “I am making everything up as I go along” because I have SO much to learn! I haven’t even figured out my “Instagram grid/theme” yet, which I just realized was kind of important (LOL). Anyway, I am glad I began this journey and I can’t wait to see where it takes me.

Has it been a smooth road?
As I mentioned before, I am just beginning and there is so much to blogging and creating content that I am learning! The first month or so after I launched my blog, I started second guessing myself and did not feel cut out for it! It’s pretty difficult to spend so much time on a social media platform where there are millions of people doing the same thing as you, but better! I want to learn and gain inspiration from bloggers because I think that is crucial to growth, however, I have to make sure I don’t compare myself because that is never beneficial. If you are just starting out, don’t let comparison get you down! At the end of the day, the most important thing is that you are enjoying what you are doing and that your creative outlet doesn’t feel too much like “work” (even though it is)! Aside from that, I think right now the biggest challenge for me practically is creating consistent content. I am about to graduate, searching for a job and trying to build my career- so free time is sparse. I also don’t have a personal photographer following me around (does anyone?), so I have to get creative!

So let’s switch gears a bit and go into en Rose story. Tell us more about the business.
I feel like I can’t fully consider myself an “influencer” yet, but between my blog and Instagram, I am doing my best to earn that title! In regards to my blog, en Rose ( is a Boston based fashion, beauty, and lifestyle blog inspired by everything around me. I hope to share my favorite things, from French-inspired fashion to my possibly too frequent brunch endeavors. I want to cover the latest trends in fashion, beauty, and lifestyle offering an innovative perspective with fresh insights! I am still figuring out my Instagram and right now I feel like it is a mix of an outfit of the day posts and content that directs viewers to my blog. I don’t want to just be an Instagrammer because aside from the visual portion, I love the writing aspect of blogging. Writing about fashion is definitely a passion of mine, so I am grateful I have the opportunity to do so!

Do you have a lesson or advice you’d like to share with young women just starting out?
I feel like this is SO cliche but in an incredibly saturated, social media world being yourself is hard! However, I think this is important to start your career because there is only one you in the world so staying true to your style and what you want your blog to be about is what is going to set you apart and make you unique. Remain open-minded and know that there is always more to learn and don’t forget to have fun!
