Check out Marti Magna’s Artwork

Today we’d like to introduce you to Marti Magna.

Marti, we’d love to hear your story and how you got to where you are today both personally and as an artist.
Growing up in a dysfunctional household in a dreary that was always enveloped by clouds it’s miraculous to me that I turned out to be a somewhat normal functioning adult, unlike most of the children and teens I knew, I didn’t receive positive feedback or encouragement at home. Although I didn’t know it at the time, it was my love for creating and painting that got me through my everyday life as a child.

I’ve been living with severe anxiety disorder for over 20 years and recently learned that Attention Deficit Disorder (ADD) is also something that has been with me all along. When I realized that my anxiety become more manageable through painting, I knew I had to leave Corporate America, although I liked my job, I knew then painting was what I should have been doing to earn a living all along.

We’d love to hear more about your art. What do you do you do and why and what do you hope others will take away from your work?
The paintings I create have a childlike perspective with bold colors and a sense of innocence, their genre is known as Naive Art. My artwork is for everyone to enjoy regardless of age or what may be going on in your life, the intent of my work is to put a smile on your face, take you away from the stresses of everyday life and give you a sense of hope and peace.

What do you know now that you wished you had learned earlier?
Pursue your passion and do what makes you happy regardless of your age. People will give you their advice and opinions with your best interest in mind, but ultimately, you’re the only one that can make those decisions about your career regardless if it’s a creative career or not.

Do you have any events or exhibitions coming up? Where would one go to see more of your work? How can people support you and your artwork?
All of my work is online. Visit my website at to view my paintings and read my blog.
