Today we’d like to introduce you to Rosa Familia. She and her team share her story with us below.
Please kick things off for us with some background on the story.
Rosa’s passion for all things chocolate began back in 2008 when she decided to learn more about the art of chocolate making and enrolled in a professional chocolate program.
After completing her program, she started making chocolates during the holidays and special occasions for friends and family just for fun. She liked fusing flavors from her upbringings such as passion fruit and dulce de leche. She continued playing and practicing with chocolate until mastering her recipes as well as different decoration techniques like handpainting the bonbons using colored cocoa butter.
She also worked at a high-end French chocolate boutique in Boston where she gained experience about attention to detail and quality standards and completed her master’s degree in small business and entrepreneurship.
Combining her knowledge and passion for chocolate making, Ducao Chocolates was born. Ducao Chocolates take pride in creating handpainted chocolates made in micro batches that look like edible work of art and excite your palate with bold ganache combinations using the finest couverture chocolate.
