The Boston Arts & Culture Weekly Review

Throughout history, societies and communities that embraced the arts often found themselves at the forefront of social and political change – decades ahead of those that have discouraged or diminished the role of the arts in their societies.  Our rich history of social and political progress is due in no small part to the active and courageous artistic community that calls New England home. We hope that by highlighting the rising stars of our local art community on a weekly basis, we can help increase our community’s engagement with local art and the artists that devote their life to moving society forward.

Say hello to my little friends…..

Happy Hump Day All!! . I hope you all are having a fabulous day!! I thought I would continue posting portraits for a bit… i love how this one turned out.. . This oil painting called Listen was meant to represent going within to listen to our true selves (heart) directing us to wake up from our dream of non stop thinking noise that gets us nowhere. With the constant judging, insulting and complaining in our heads that only hurts ourselves and gets us in trouble. . Be still, listen and observe. the universe is sending messages to you but you need to quiet the mind thoughts to hear them. . We are stars wrapped in skin – The light you are seeking has always been within. . The universe is always speaking to us. Sending us little messages, causing coincidences and serendipities, reminding us to stop, to look around, to believe in something else, something more. -nancy thayer . You are more than your thoughts, your body, or your feelings. You are a swirling vortex of limitless potential who is here to shake things up and create something new that the universe has never seen. -dr. richard bartlett . The Universe is not outside of you. Quiet your thoughts and look inside yourself; everything that you want, you already are. -rumi . . . . . . #rumi #awakening #nancythayer #eckarttolle #iam #universallanguage #listentotheuniverse #oilpainting #portraitpainting #girlpainting #dailyart #alanwatts #bestill #stillyourmind #artofawakening #onewithall #portraitart #girlwithheadphones #universalgirl #powerofnow #listen #universalmessages #quietthemind #wakeup #thegreatillusion #artistofinstagram #masterpiece #contemporarypainting #higherconsciousness #highervibration
