The Influencers

The BostonVoyager owes a huge debt to the incredible local community of influencers – from fashion bloggers to foodies – who put in countless hours of work uncovering hidden gems throughout New England. We’d like to introduce you to some of Boston’s most gifted tastemakers and influencers below.

Are you your own worst enemy? I know I am. For so long I got in my own way. Every time I lost weight and got comfortable in my body, I stopped dieting and gained the weight back. Every time I got used to a specific workout program, I quit because I was bored. It felt like for a while every time I took a step forward, I took 3 steps back. Not anymoreeeee. Since about a month ago, I have had an insane amount of drive and motivation. Every single time I start to feel tired, I push harder. Every time I feel like giving up, I give it my all. I stopped tripping over myself, and started to finally take some steps in the right direction. How? I started to actually believe in myself. I started to fake it until I made it. Now I don’t have a single doubt in myself and it feels damn good. #7weeksout

lately ive been in a space of releasing who + what doesn't serve me, and it's been very therapeutic. there's nothing i love more than growth + change, but i know that both come with sacrifice im not getting any younger, and there are still a lot of goals i want to reach, so ive really been focused on my own path + process as of late. and finding myself less flexible when it comes to giving to those or that which fails to give the same in return idk why but something in me changed when i turned 34.. and as i get older, im finding that i simply dont have the energy, patience, or interest in well, anything that feels inauthentic, conditional, or one sided there are a lot of times where i worry that ive become too selfish, and perhaps in some ways i am, but i think back to the people pleasing girl i was in my 20s and feel better about the woman ive become and the decisions i make because for once they prioritize Me its a bummer that sometimes as #women we feel like we need permission to move forward, or focus on ourselves for a change.. that somehow simply by doing so we're letting others down but if anything, let these moments of cleaning house serve as reminders that protecting and preserving your peace is priority, and that in order to be your best, you need to give yourself the best when other parts of our lives be it people or things, support you in your journey, in a way you Truly need, it doesn't drain you, it replenishes + reenergizes, and that's something you should Always make space for . how has life changed for you since turning 30? 🤔 .

Comparison is the thief of joy ✨ One thing I HATE about social media is when people make it seem like they always have their shit together… are perfect on their diet 100% of the time, are always motivated, workout 7 days a week, and look like Gisele all the time 🤦🏼‍♀️ I’M SORRY WHAT I’m lucky if I have time to wash my hair more than twice a week 😂 JK but not rly I made it a point at the start of this year to unfollow anyone negative or that gave me bad vibes… anyone that allowed me to get caught up in the “perfection” world of social media. If you continue to compare your life to someone else’s, the thoughts 💭 sink in of: ▫️ ▫️ Why am I not as motivated? ▫️ Why am I not on that diet? ▫️ How did they come up with that idea?! ▫️ At the end of the day, you deserve your own attention — and what someone else is doing is actually none of your business 🤷🏼‍♀️ Stay in your lane. People will ALWAYS show their highlight reel. Their best angles. Their biggest accomplishments. It’s not fake — just remember it’s not the whole story. I know for me personally I’m NEVER able to feel creative + stay focused if I’m comparing what I’m doing to someone else. When you’re in your own lane, there’s no traffic 😘
